MOSCOW. July 17 (Interfax) - The Kremlin does not believe it should completely sever diplomatic relations with Washington and London after the new attack on the Crimean Bridge and in view of arms supplies to Ukraine, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.
"We are perfectly aware of the volume of information going to Kiev on a permanent basis from [NATO], from Washington. We have no illusions here. As to whether something needs to be severed completely, that's hardly the case. That question is perhaps not quite appropriate," Peskov told journalists when fielding questions on Monday.
"In any case, channels for [conducting] a dialogue are necessary at critical moments. This doesn't mean that we're developing relations in some way. It's absolutely out of the question now, but channels for a dialogue are still needed," he said.
Despite this, the Kremlin knows "how thorough coordination is between the Kiev regime, Washington, a number of European capitals, and [NATO]."
