Two Russian naval ships damaged in Ukrainian missile attack on Sevastopol will be fully rebuilt - Russian Defense Ministry

MOSCOW. Sept 13 (Interfax) - The two Russian naval ships damaged in a Ukrainian missile strike on Sevastopol will be fully rebuilt and will continue their combat service, the Russian Defense Ministry has said.

"Two naval ships, which were undergoing scheduled repairs at the Ordzhonikidze ship repair plant in the city of Sevastopol and which were damaged in a missile strike by the Kiev regime on September 13 this year, will be fully rebuilt and will continue their combat service as part of their fleets," the Defense Ministry said in a statement.

Previously, the military said that two Russian ships had been damaged in a Ukrainian cruise missile attack on a ship repair plant in Sevastopol.

"Tonight, the Ukrainian Armed Forces fired ten cruise missiles at the Ordzhonikidze ship repair plant in the city of Sevastopol, and three drone boats [attacked] a squadron of ships from the Black Sea Fleet while at sea," the Russian Defense Ministry said on Wednesday morning.

"Air defenses downed seven cruise missiles, [and] the Vasily Bykov patrol ship destroyed all of the drone boats," the ministry said.

"Two ships undergoing repairs were damaged by enemy cruise missiles," the Russian Defense Ministry said.
