YEREVAN. Sept 22 (Interfax) - Levon Kocharyan, the son of former Armenian President Robert Kocharyan who was detained at a protest rally held by the opposition on Friday, has been hospitalized, his lawyer Alexander Kochubayev said.
Kocharyan was beaten up by special forces troops and rushed to a hospital in an ambulance, Kochubayev said on a social network.
Armenian media outlets earlier published footage of the former president's son getting beaten up by policemen in a police van.
