Baku sees no need for int'l observer mission in Karabakh - Aliyev's aide

BAKU. Sept 27 (Interfax) - Baku sees no need for an international observer mission in Karabakh, Azerbaijani presidential aide, head of the presidential administration's foreign policy department Hikmet Hajiyev said.

"We don't think there is any need for any kind of international observer mission, because the realities on the ground are obvious," Hajiyev said in an interview with Deutsche Welle. "Azerbaijan has nothing to hide," he said.

"Azerbaijan has always been against any kind of geopolitical competition in our region," Hajiyev said. He said that the region should not be viewed through the prism of geopolitical competition.
