MOSCOW. Sept 27 (Interfax) - The Russian Defense Ministry's Zvezda TV channel showed a video with Russian Black Sea Fleet Commander Viktor Sokolov on Wednesday, and the commander said that the fleet's forces have been successfully accomplishing their missions.
"The Black Sea Fleet is accomplishing the missions assigned to it by the command. Surface ships, submarines, marine aviation and coastal forces are fulfilling their tasks in a confident and successful manner," Sokolov said.
On September 26, the Russian Defense Ministry released a video of a meeting of the ministry's board in which Sokolov participated.
A number of media outlets said earlier that Sokolov may have been hurt in a Ukrainian missile strike on sites in Crimea.
