Over 50,000 people already evacuated to Armenia from Nagorno-Karabakh - Armenian govt

YEREVAN. Sept 27 (Interfax) - More than 50,000 local residents have been evacuated from Nagorno-Karabakh, the Armenian government said.

"A total of 50,243 forcibly displaced persons have arrived in Armenia from Nagorno-Karabakh to date," the Armenian prime minister's spokesperson Nazeli Baghdasaryan said at a press conference on Wednesday.

Around 120,000 ethnic Armenians lived in Nagorno-Karabakh, official figures indicate.
