Russian emergencies ministry to deliver another batch of relief supplies for Gaza population

MOSCOW. Dec 20 (Interfax) - The Russian Emergency Situations Ministry will deliver another batch of humanitarian aid for the population of the Gaza Strip, a ministry spokesperson told reporters.

"The Russian Emergency Situations Ministry will deliver 18 tonnes of relief supplies for Gaza's residents. The cargo includes medicines and technical equipment for the rehabilitation of the injured," the spokesperson said.

The ministry's Ilyushin Il-76 plane carrying the humanitarian aid is now en route to Egypt's El-Arish Airport. Upon arrival in Egypt, the aid will be transferred to representatives of the Egyptian Red Crescent, who will send it to Gaza.

Russian Emergency Situations Ministry planes have performed 16 flights, delivering around 370 tonnes of humanitarian aid for Gaza's population.
