MOSCOW. Jan 22 (Interfax) - A drill countering mock enemy naval drones and underwater saboteurs has taken place at the Crimean naval base, the Russian Black Sea Fleet's press service said on Monday.
"The drill was held in the Sevastopol Bay consistent with the current situation and involved search-and-rescue systems of anti-sabotage and patrol boats and live preventive bombing and grenade launching on the outer roadstead," the press service said.
At the initial stage of the drill, "units tasked with countering the enemy's naval drones practiced the protocol for detection and designation of targets for their guaranteed destruction, and methods of sectoral firing in a massive naval drone attack," it said.
At the second stage, the Black Sea Fleet's anti-sabotage unit practiced underwater defense of the facilities, including diving, the press service said.
