MOSCOW. Feb 21 (Interfax) - Russian National Guard Director Viktor Zolotov has drawn the attention of his subordinates to the priorities of ensuring internal security within the country and combating terrorism at a Russian National Guard board meeting on Tuesday, the National Guard said in a statement.
"While setting a task for the troops for the year, the commander-in-chief drew attention to the priorities of ensuring internal stability and the security of the state, as well as neutralizing terrorist threats while maintaining the offensive in achieving the goals of the special military operation," it said.
"The stable situation in the country [and] neutralizing security threats are a guarantee for preserving the steady and confident advance of the army at the front, a guarantee of victories on the line of contact," Zolotov said.
The board meeting's participants discussed the use of troops during the special military operation, ensuring integration processes in the new regions, including providing services in the field of security and arms circulation, and implementing humanitarian measures. It also addressed the issue of elaborating measures to protect and fortify facilities protected by National Guard troops.
"Proposals were made to improve this work, including an assessment of the prospects for improving the effectiveness of countering drones operating in all environments," the National Guard said.
