MOSCOW. Feb 28 (Interfax) - The Russian Defense Ministry has reported destroying 99 unmanned aerial vehicles of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, a radar station of an S-300 air defense system, and a storage for Ukrainian drones in the special military operation zone over the past 24 hours.
"Russian tactical aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile and artillery forces have destroyed an engagement radar of an S-300 air defense missile system, an ammunition depot, a storage of fuels and lubricants of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and a depot for storing and manufacturing unmanned aerial vehicles. They also struck military personnel and hardware in 131 areas," the ministry said on Wednesday.
Russian air defense systems have downed 99 Ukrainian drones in the Lugansk People's Republic, the Donetsk People's Republic, and the Kharkov region, as well as three rockets fired from HIMARS multiple rocket launchers, it said.
"A total of 575 planes, 267 helicopters, 13,622 unmanned aerial vehicles, 474 air defense missile systems, 15,266 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles, 1,226 multiple rocket launcher vehicles, 8,203 field artillery systems and mortars, and 19,179 special military automobiles have been destroyed since the start of the special military operation," it said.
