Russian Pacific Fleet ship practices neutralizing combat swimmers in Peter the Great Gulf

MOSCOW. Feb 28 (Interfax) - The Russian Pacific Fleet's Nikolai Vilkov landing ship has held an anti-sabotage drill at a maritime range in the Peter the Great Gulf, the fleet press service said on Wednesday.

"While practicing anti-sabotage defense, crews on duty fired shipborne multiple grenade launchers and DP-64 man-portable grenade launchers towards the area of presumed presence of a mock enemy's combat swimmers. The crews finalized the firing drill with preemptive tossing of hand grenades," the press service said.

"The exercise was part of the fleet's combat training plan," it said.
