Iskander-M systems of Russian Central Military District practice destroying mock enemy command posts near Orenburg

SAMARA. Feb 29 (Interfax) - Iskander-M systems of radiation, chemical and biological protection units of the Russian Central Military District's combined-arms army have performed electronic missile launches at mock enemy command posts at the Totsky range near Orenburg, the district press service said on Wednesday.

"A thermal smoke screen unit used TDA-3 vehicles to hide the systems' redeployment in the infrared range and protect them from the mock enemy's aircraft. Meanwhile, the Iskander battalion changed positions and destroyed important enemy targets by electronic launches," the press service said.

The exercise involved about 100 troops and more than 15 military and special vehicles.
