Top Russian, Belarusian security officials discuss cooperation in information security

ASTANA. April 3 (Interfax) - Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev has held talks with his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Volfovich in Astana, the Russian Security Council's press service said.

"The parties discussed in detail the implementation of the main aspects of bilateral cooperation in ensuring information security. They also discussed specific measures to create a common secure information space of Russia and Belarus as part of implementing the agreements between the Russian government and the government of Belarus on cooperation in ensuring international information security and [implementing] the Union State's information security roadmap," the press service said.

Patrushev and Volfovich met on the sidelines of a meeting of the security council secretaries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states in Astana.
