U.S., its allies to thoroughly scrutinize possible transfer of more weapons to Ukraine - Blinken

BRUSSELS. April 4 (Interfax) - The United States and its allies stand ready to thoroughly scrutinize whether there is any possibility of transferring more weapons to Ukraine, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said.

This includes air defense systems, artillery, and munitions. The U.S. and its allies are willing to scrutinize closely whether they can supply more of the resources that Ukraine needs, Blinken said at a press conference in Brussels on Thursday.

At the same time, he again urged the U.S. Congress to approve the White House's supplemental funding request for military aid for Ukraine more swiftly. The request was submitted to Congress last fall, but Congress members have not yet reached a consensus on the issue.
