MOSCOW. April 9 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has nominated Irina Podnosova for Supreme Court chair, head of the Federation Council Committee on Constitutional Legislation and State Building Andrei Klishas said.
"Russian President Vladimir Putin has nominated Irina Podnosova for Russian Supreme Council chair in a motion submitted to the Federation Council," Klishas said on Telegram.
According to first deputy head of the Committee on Constitutional Legislation and State Building Vladimir Poletayev, the motion nominating Podnosova for Supreme Council chair will be processed at the next meeting of the Federation Council on April 17.
"Once it is submitted, the usual procedure [for processing] involves a meeting of the Constitutional Legislation Committee on April 16 and a plenary meeting on April 17," Poletayev told Interfax on Monday.
