Number of fatalities from drone attack in Belgorod region rises to 7 (Part 2)

BELGOROD. May 6 (Interfax) - A drone attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the vehicles of the Agro-Belogorye company in the Belgorod region has killed at least seven and injured fifteen people, the company said.

"We have information on seven deceased employees of the Graivoron and Borisovka pig-breeding farms. Fifteen employees have suffered injuries of varying degrees. The information concerning the number of those killed and injured will be updated," it said.

Alexei Kuznetsov, an aide to the Russian health minister, told Interfax that the drone attack in the Belgorod region injured 40 people, including three children. Thirty people, including children, have been hospitalized, and the other ten were provided with outpatient medical aid.

"Unfortunately, six people were killed on the spot," Kuznetsov said.

The attack victims are being provided with all the necessary medical aid, including through telemedicine consultations arranged with specialists from leading federal medical centers, he said.

Earlier reports said a drone attack in the Belgorod region killed six and injured 35 people, including two children.

Agro-Belogorye said it would provide material support to the families of its employees who were killed and injured.

"The families of the affected Agro-Belogorye employees can apply for support via the company's hotline. The relatives of the deceased will receive a lump-sum payment of one million rubles from the company in the near future. The workers who have sustained injuries are entitled to financial support ranging from 250,000 to 500,000 rubles," it said.

The company is considering the use of specialized vehicles to transport its employees, it said.

Belgorod region Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said later that one person was injured in another drone attack in the Borisovka district.

"Another Ukrainian Armed Forces kamikaze drone attack in the Borisovka district. A moving car was attacked while on a road near the village of Beryozovka. Preliminary findings indicate that a man suffered fragmentation wounds to his lower limb. An ambulance team delivered the victim to the central district hospital, where he is being provided with all the necessary medical aid," Gladkov wrote on Telegram on Monday.

As reported earlier, the Ukrainian Armed Forces used kamikaze drones to attack two Gazelle vans carrying Agro-Belogorye employees to work as well as a car that, according to preliminary reports, was carrying children, near Beryozovka in the Belgorod region's Borisovka district on Monday morning.
