Russian Justice Ministry places Duntsova, Litvinovich on foreign agent list (Part 2)

MOSCOW. May 31 (Interfax) - The Russian Ministry of Justice has designated human rights activist Marina Litvinovich, public activist Yekaterina Duntsova, and projects SOTA and Republic as foreign agents, according to a statement published on the ministry's website on Friday.

"On May 31, 2024, [Marina] Andreyeva, [Yekaterina] Duntsova, [Pavel] Ivanov, [Marina] Litvinovich, the Put Domoi (Homecoming) movement, the SOTA project and the Republic internet project were included in the register of foreign agents on the orders of the Russian Ministry of Justice," the statement says.

Litvinovich "spread false information about decisions issued by public authorities in the Russian Federation and policy being pursued by them, as well as information intended to form a negative image of the Russian Federation," it says.

The Ministry of Justice has placed Duntsova, journalist Andreyeva, activist Ivanov, projects SOTA, Republic and Put Domoi on the register of foreign agents on similar grounds.
