Chad hopes for intensifying military cooperation with Russia - FM

NDJAMENA. June 5 (Interfax) - Chad wants to sign strategic partnership agreement with Russia and would like to consider agreements in the military sphere, Chadian Foreign Minister Abderaman Koulamallah said.

"We hope to sign a strategic partnership agreement and look at how we can improve our agreements in the sphere of medicine, agriculture, energy, as well as air community, and of course this applies to military cooperation. We are proud that we can intensify our military cooperation," Koulamallah said at negotiations with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in Ndjamena on Wednesday.
