MOSCOW. June 7 (Interfax) - Russia's southern group of forces has taken control of the village of Paraskoviyevka in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) and improved its frontline position, the Defense Ministry said on Friday.
"Over the past week, units of the southern group of forces have improved their frontline position, liberated the community of Paraskoviyevka in the DPR, and caused damage to the personnel and hardware of 14 formations of the Ukrainian Armed Forces," it said.
The Ukrainian army's losses over the past week amount to up to 2,835 troops, 14 armored fighting vehicles, 29 automobiles, 35 field artillery guns, including 13 Western-made ones, and a Gepard self-propelled air defense system, it said.
"Seven field ammunition depots of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have been destroyed," it said.
