Ukraine and NATO recruiting migrant workers to stage terrorist attacks in Russia - FSB chief (Part 2)

MOSCOW. June 11 (Interfax) - Ukraine is stepping up efforts with NATO security services' support to stage terrorist attacks and acts of sabotage in Russia, including with the use of migrant workers, Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) Director and National Antiterrorism Committee (NAC) Chairman Alexander Bortnikov said.

"The NAC chairman noted in his speech that the enemy is intensifying efforts with the support of the U.S. and other NATO countries to perpetrate terrorist attacks and acts of sabotage on Russian territory, trying to weaken the resource support of the Russian army and provoke panic among the population," the NAC said following its meeting on Tuesday.

Ukraine and NATO security services "are searching for and recruiting perpetrators of high-profile crimes, including among migrant workers," Bortnikov said at the NAC meeting.

"Ukrainian and Western security services are expanding the circle of possible perpetrators and are helping to train and equip them," he said.

"An example demonstrating this is the Ukrainian military intelligence service's involvement in the terrorist attack on Crocus City Hall in the Moscow region, which we have established," Bortnikov said.

Thirty-two cells of international terrorist organizations have been neutralized in Russia's Central Federal District over the past two years, he said. These units consisted of migrants and were engaged in plotting attacks on administrative buildings, military facilities, crowded places, and religious organizations.
