SOLNECHNOGORSK. June 14 (Interfax) - The peace proposals announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin are no ultimatum, his spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said.
"This is not a warning, not an ultimatum, as [Vladimir] Zelensky has nervously reacted, it is precisely a peace initiative," Peskov told journalists on Friday.
Zelensky's was the first reaction, he also said. "This interpretation is absolutely incorrect, there are no ultimatums here," Peskov said.
"We said repeatedly that it was important for Russia to achieve the goals that were set before the special military operation from the start. [That] it was preferable to achieve [those goals] by political and diplomatic means, and only when they were all rejected would all military means come into play," Peskov said, adding that this was why the special military operation got under way.
