Three injured as village in Russia's Belgorod region comes under fire - governor

BELGOROD. June 17 (Interfax) - Three people have been reported injured after the Ukrainian Armed Forces shelled the village of Gora-Podol in the Graivoron urban district of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, the region's governor, said on Monday.

"Three civilians have been injured, according to tentative reports. Two women and a man turned to the Graivoron district hospital for help on their own with mine blast injuries. All necessary aid is being provided," Gladkov wrote on Telegram.

The gunfire broke windows in four apartments in two apartment blocks, Gladkov said. The attacks also smashed windows and scarred the roofs, exteriors, fences, and outbuildings of five single-family houses, he said.

"The entrance lobbies and glazing of a social facility and an administrative building were also damaged," he said.
