Putin appoints Leonid Gornin first deputy DM - decree (Part 2)

MOSCOW. June 17 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has appointed Leonid Gornin first deputy defense minister.

The corresponding order was published on the official website of legal information.

"Leonid Vladimirovich Gornin shall be appointed first deputy defense minister of Russia," the document said.

Gornin has worked for the Russian Finance Ministry since 2012: he was deputy minister until 2018 and then became first deputy minister. Gornin was born in Novosibirsk. In various years, he headed the department of finance and tax policies of the Novosibirsk region, held posts of acting finance and tax policy minister of this region, the region's finance minister, and first deputy governor.
