MOSCOW. June 20 (Interfax) - Russian forces have struck Ukrainian energy facilities supplying electricity to the country's defense sector using aircraft and drones, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
"In retaliation for the Kiev regime's attempts to damage Russian energy facilities, the Russian Armed Forces carried out a combined strike using long-range air-based precision-guided weapons and unmanned aerial vehicles on Ukrainian energy facilities supporting the production of weapons and military hardware for the Ukrainian Armed Forces," the ministry said.
The strike achieved its objective, and all designated targets were hit, the ministry said.
