Peskov: New EU anti-Russian sanctions are double-edged sword (Part 2)

MOSCOW. June 25 (Interfax) - The European Union's 14th package of anti-Russian sanctions is unlawful, the Kremlin said, also describing it as a double-edged sword.

"We consider these restrictions to be unlawful. We are categorically opposed to them and are convinced that this is a double-edged sword," Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said after being asked by journalists to comment on the introduction of another package of EU sanctions against Russia.

"These restrictions increasingly return to harm the interests of those who introduce them," Peskov said.

In addition, Russia already has "a record of minimizing such restrictions," he said.

"We are continuously developing this experience and will continue to do so," he said.
