MOSCOW. June 25 (Interfax) - Ninety Russian servicemen, who were in mortal danger while In captivity, were returned from a Kiev-controlled territory on Tuesday as a result of negotiations, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
They were "exchanged for 90 captured members of the Ukrainian Armed Forces," the ministry said.
"The release of the captured Russian servicemen was mediated with humanitarian participation of the United Arab Emirates," it said.
"The released servicemen will be flown to Moscow by Russian Aerospace Force military-transport aircraft for medical treatment and rehabilitation at medical facilities of the Russian Defense Ministry," the statement said.
"All of them are receiving necessary medical and psychological assistance," it said.
