MOSCOW. July 1 (Interfax) - Two ships of Russia's Baltic Fleet have drilled firing at a mock enemy submarine, the fleet's press service said in statement.
"Our anti-submarine warfare ships carried out a series of shooting practices using RBU-6000 rocket systems, and practiced nominal deployment of a torpedo weapon," the statement said.
The Novorossiysk submarine acted as the enemy submarine, it said.
The exercise involved the Urengoi and Kazanets small anti-submarine ships, it said.
In addition, the ships "practiced countering enemy airstrikes from various altitudes and directions and fired the ships' air defense weapons," the statement said.
This was a scheduled exercise, it said.
