Russian missile ship practices firing in Baltic Sea

MOSCOW. Aug 7 (Interfax) - The Russian Baltic Fleet's Zelyony Dol small missile ship has practiced repelling a simulated aerial attack and firing artillery at a seaborne target, the fleet said in a statement on Wednesday.

"The ship's units practiced firing AK-630 and AK-190 shipborne artillery systems at mock aerial targets," the statement said.

The ship's units also fired artillery systems at a target imitating a simulated enemy's small craft and a mockup of an unmanned surface vehicle, it said.

The exercise was planned in advance, it said.
