Russian Defense Ministry: Su-34 bomber strikes Ukrainian forces in Sumy region with 3-tonne bomb

MOSCOW. Aug 9 (Interfax) - A Sukhoi Su-34 bomber of the Russian Aerospace Forces has struck a temporary stationing site of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Sumy region with a three-tonne air bomb, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Friday.

"The crew of a Su-34 multirole supersonic fighter-bomber of the Aerospace Forces has carried out a strike on a concentration of Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel and military hardware at a temporary stationing site detected in the Sumy region's district bordering the Russian Federation's Kursk region," it said.

The strike was carried out using a FAB-3000 air bomb equipped with a Universal Gliding and Correction Module, it said.

The ministry also published a video of the strike on Friday.
