MOSCOW. Aug 13 (Interfax) - An attack by a Ukrainian assault group towards Martynovka in the Kursk region has been repelled, and four Ukrainian brigades have been hit in six communities, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Tuesday.
"An attack by units of the 82nd Air Assault Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces towards Martynovka has been repelled. Up to 15 Ukrainian troops, two armored combat vehicles and two trucks have been eliminated," the ministry said.
Aircraft and artillery hit troops and hardware of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' 22nd, 61st and 115th Mechanized Brigades and the 80th Air Assault Brigade near Mikhailovka, Korenevo, Nikolayevo-Daryino, Oleshnya, Sudzha and Nikolayevka, it said.
Up to 15 Ukrainian soldiers were killed, four Stryker armored vehicles were destroyed, and six Ukrainian soldiers were captured while Russian forces were clearing Ozerki, it said.
