Russian ship holds artillery drills in Baltic Sea

MOSCOW. Aug 13 (Interfax) - The Alexander Shabalin large landing ship has fired artillery weapons at targets simulating mock enemy warships and air attack weapons during an exercise, the Russian Baltic Fleet said on Tuesday.

"The crew of the large landing ship practiced elements of a battle to repel attacks by small targets and elements of air defense. The live-fire exercise involved 57mm artillery systems and large-caliber machine guns," it said, describing the drills as routine.
