Kiev seeks West's maximum involvement in Ukraine conflict - Peskov (Part 2)

MOSCOW. Oct 31 (Interfax) - Kiev's peace plans, including requests for the delivery of various weapons, aim at the maximum involvement of Western states in the conflict, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

"It looks like all the peace plans, all the victory plans, both secret and not secret, aim to enable Kiev to draw Western states into this conflict to the fullest extent, head and ears, as soon as possible and to legalize that," Peskov told reporters on Thursday.

He was asked to comment on information about Ukraine's possible request for the delivery of Tomahawk missiles.

"In fact, all tricks [of the Ukrainian authorities] have the same end goal [of drawing the West into the conflict]. This is how we feel about it," Peskov said.

"The dynamics at the front are quite clear and obvious," and, "against the backdrop of these dynamics, the Kiev regime clearly starts to get nervous. Everyone sees this well. Both our country and Western states are stating these dynamics," he said.

The New York Times said, citing its sources, that a secret point of the victory plan, presented by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky in October, requested the delivery of Tomahawk missiles. The U.S. government called the request unfeasible, the newspaper said.
