Lukashenko denies assumptions that Russia plans to attack West, Ukraine via Belarus

MINSK. Nov 2 (Interfax) - The assumptions that Russia plans to attack Poland, Lithuania, Latvia and Ukraine via Belarus are ridiculous, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said.

"No Russia is going to attack Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, or Ukraine through Belarus. That's completely ridiculous," the Belarusian state-run news agency BelTA quoted Lukashenko as saying at the Dazhynki 2024 fair and festival in Mosty, Grodno region, on Saturday.

He urged Western states to develop neighborly relations and mutually beneficial cooperation. "Let us build our relations as neighbors. You do not have to if you don't want. We'll find other countries to develop cooperation with. Yet you won't come here again if we leave you," Lukashenko said.
