MOSCOW. Nov 6 (Interfax) - Security Council secretaries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) members will hold the 12th meeting on November 7 to discuss a broad range of issues related to threats to CIS cooperation, including preservation of historical memory and preparations for the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, Russian Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu said.
"Traditionally, the agenda will be packed, and we will discuss many issues. Naturally, as always, these are issues related to security, the issues of hybrid countering further development of our cooperation in the CIS. There is a broad range, starting with preservation of the moral values characteristic of CIS members, our common history in view of the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War we will celebrate next year. I am absolutely positive that all CIS countries will be celebrating that," he said.
More attention should be given to "close threats" to historical memory, history of peoples, which defended national interests within the Soviet Union, the single state, Shoigu said.
