MOSCOW. Jan 10 (Interfax) - Russian journalists who debunk fakes ensure not only the country's information security, but also its national security, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said.
"Confrontation is taking place in the media space as well today. Journalists ensure not only information security, but also national security. They debunk fakes and continue defending Russia's positions," Mishustin said at a Russian government award ceremony in the sphere of the mass media on Thursday.
Awards were given to journalists with federal and regional media, in particular, VGTRK, Channel One, MIA Rossiya Segodnya, Rossiyskaya Gazeta, and Komsomolskaya Pravda.
