MOSCOW. April 2 (Interfax) - U.S. President Donald Trump's planned visit to Saudi Arabia is not related to the possibility of his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.
"No, these are the plans of the U.S. head of state. It has nothing to do with Putin. Putin has no such plans at this point," Peskov told journalists. He was asked whether Trump's visit to Saudi Arabia could be linked to the possibility of negotiations with Putin.
"There is currently no understanding regarding a date and venue for a possible meeting between Putin and Trump either," he said.
"We are continuing contacts with the Americans at different levels and via different channels," Peskov said.
