Damage after drone attack on Russia's Taganrog to be repaired within 2 weeks - acting governor

ROSTOV-ON-DON. April 3 (Interfax) - Efforts are continuing to repair the damage caused to apartment buildings and private houses by a Ukrainian drone attack on the city of Taganrog, Yury Slyusar, acting governor of Russia's Rostov region, said on his Telegram channel.

"We will take all necessary measures as soon as possible to restore normal conditions for life. Local entrepreneurs are ready to help replace windows. We will provide people with all required assistance. We will try to complete this work within two weeks," Slyusar said.

As reported, drones attacked apartment buildings in Taganrog early on Wednesday morning. Three apartment buildings were damaged, and one drone got stuck in trees. Drone debris was also found near a railroad crossing. All drone fragments had been disposed of by morning.

Eighty-five tenants were evacuated from one of the damaged apartment buildings, Slyusar said. Load-bearing structures were intact, and the buildings stayed connected to utilities, he said.

According to preliminary information, a total of 228 windows were damaged in three apartment buildings and four private houses.
