SUKHUM. April 3 (Interfax) - Abkhazia's President Badra Gunba has appointed Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Delba as Prime Minister, the president's press service said on Thursday.
Delba was born in 1974. He graduated from the Abkhaz State University and later completed a postgraduate degree at the Lomonosov Moscow State University.
In 2002-2011 Delba served as a deputy finance minister, becoming a deputy prime minister and finance minister from October 2011.
Between June 2 and September 29 Delba was an acting prime minister.
From 2014 to 2020 Delba was the deputy rector for economic and international affairs at the Abkhaz State University.
From April 2020, Delba again served as a deputy prime minister and finance minister.
