Moscow has no substantive proposals on resuming NATO-Russia Council activity - Peskov

MOSCOW. May 16 (Interfax) - The United States has not made any substantive proposals on resuming the activity of the NATO-Russia Council, which is hard to discuss under the circumstances, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

"There have been no substantive proposals to the effect. As I understand these are suggestions made on mass media," Peskov told journalists on Friday when commenting on media reports alleging that the U.S. proposed resuming the activity of the NATO-Russia Council.

"Of course, it is hard to speak about the resumption of any partnership and any dialogue at a time when NATO, the North Atlantic Alliance is practically at war with Russia," he said.

At the same time, "all issues related to security and strategic stability on the European continent must definitely be discussed," Peskov said, adding, "That should be done as fast as possible."
