Igor Maltsev appointed new CEO of Energia space rocket corporation - Roscosmos

MOSCOW. May 23 (Interfax) - Igor Maltsev, former head of the Academician Pilyugin Research and Production Center of Automation and Instrument-Building under Russia's Roscosmos state space corporation, has been appointed new CEO of the Energia space rocket corporation, Roscosmos said in a statement on Telegram on Friday.

"Igor Maltsev has been appointed general director of the Energia space rocket corporation," Roscosmos said.

Before 2022, Maltsev worked at Energia's Experimental Machine-Building Plant as deputy CEO for quality control, CEO, and managing director. Since 2022, he has headed the Academician Pilyugin Research and Production Center of Automation and Instrument-Building.

The Energia space rocket corporation is Russia's leading organization specializing in manned space systems. It manufactures Soyuz manned spacecraft and Progress resupply spacecraft. It also develops automated space and rocket systems, i.e. launch vehicles and inter-orbital transportation systems, as well as hi-tech non-space systems of various purposes.
