MOSCOW. March 28 (Interfax-AVN) - The armed forces of the Collective Security Treaty Organization's member-states will hold joint exercises in Tajikistan, says a release circulated by the Russian Defense Ministry's information and public relations department on Monday.
"In accordance with the schedule of joint military exercises, the Rubezh (Frontier) 2005 exercises will be held in Tajikistan from April 2-6," the Russian Defense Ministry said.
It said "the units involved will practice decision-making regarding the use of collective forces in defending Tajikistan's territorial integrity, as well as planning and preparing joint operations, setting up cooperation, organizing supplies and exercising joint control."
The Collective Security Treaty Organization comprises Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan.
