MOSCOW. April 14 (Interfax-AVN) - Anatoly Kosolapov, Assistant Secretary of the Russian Security Council, has inspected construction of the Angara rocket launch system at the Plesetsk Space Center, the Space Forces press-service told Interfax-Military News Agency on Thursday.
"According to Kosolapov, specific measures, aimed at boosting construction of the Angara system, will be based on the results of his inspection," Colonel Alexei Kuznetsov, head of the Space Forces press-service, said.
He noted that Kosolapov was accompanied by Alexander Medvedev, Director General of the Khrunichev Space Scientific Industrial Center, as well as officials from the Defense Ministry, and the Space Forces.
"They noted that it was essential to build new power supply and communications systems, roads and railways for the full-fledged operation of the future Angara system," Kuznetsov said.
He pointed out that the necessity of adopting a comprehensive federal program on developing the Plesetsk Space Center had also been discussed.
