Lithuania pledges support to Ukrainian European integration

KYIV. April 21 (Interfax-AVN) - Lithuania will assist Ukrainian European and Euro-Atlantic integration, Lithuanian President Valdas Adamkus told Ukrainian Foreign Minister Borys Tarasyuk.

Tarasyuk is visiting Vilnius to attend a ministerial session of the NATO-Ukraine Commission, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry press service said.

"Lithuania is a true friend of Ukraine, and it wants Ukraine to join the European community of nations as soon as possible," Adamkus said.

Tarasyuk and Adamkus noted positive development in Ukraine-Lithuania relations and called for further cooperation.
