Russia, Israel to sign deal on arms trade soon – Putin

JERUSALEM. April 28 (Interfax-AVN) - Russia and Israel will sign a deal on military technical cooperation in the interests of third countries soon, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in Jerusalem.

Russia is interested in developing this type of cooperation with Israel, Putin said.

Asked by an Israeli journalist why Russia does not sell its aircraft to Israel, Putin replied, "If we, with your assistance, managed to win a contract to sell our aircraft to Israel worth a couple of billion, I would nominate you for an award 'For Service to Homeland'," Putin said.
