MOSCOW. May 5 (Interfax-AVN) - Twelve warplanes will take part in the air parade over Moscow on May 9, Russian Air Force Commander-in-Chief Vladimir Mikhailov said on Thursday.
"Four Mikoyan MiG-29 and five Sukhoi Su-27 planes will fly over the Red Square in a single combat order. In addition, three Sukhoi Su-25s will produce colored smoke to display the Russian state flag," Mikhailov told a news conference at the central command post of the Air Force and Air Defense Forces in the Moscow region.
Aerobatics stunts will not be performed during the parade, he said.
According to Mikhailov, special Air Force planes will also be involved in a sky-clearance operation over Moscow from May 7 to 9. [RU EUROPE EEU EMRG AER]
