Belarussian military delegation discussing air defense cooperation plans in St. Petersburg

MOSCOW. May 23 (Interfax-AVN) - A delegation of the Belarussian Air Force and Air Defense has arrived at the 6th air force and air defense army in St. Petersburg for a two-day working visit, Colonel Alexander Drobyshevsky, Russian Air Force press service chief, said on Monday.

"Interaction in exercising joint combat duty in the framework of the CIS Unified Air Defense System in 2005 will be discussed during the visit," Drobyshevsky told Interfax-Military News Agency.

The agenda of the visit includes the delegation's meeting with the 6th army command, trips to air force and air defense units stationed in the Leningrad region, and a trip to the army's command post.

The delegation is led by Lieutenant General Oleg Paferov, commander of the Belarussian Air Force and Air Defense.
