PARIS. June 14 (Interfax-AVN) - Boris Alyoshin, head of the Russian Federal Agency for Industry, thinks that the united national aircraft building company will be formed in Russia in the coming two years.
"The main task of forming the united aircraft company will be fulfilled by the consortium that has already been established and unites all our leading companies, including leasing ones. As of now, we are developing the concept of the company and are eager to put the plan in action in the coming two years," Alyoshin told Interfax-Military News Agency during the Paris Air Show 2005 in Le Bourget.
He said that the idea of a united national aircraft building company was approved of by top-ranking officials of the country.
"It is only natural that such a large-scale effort will face a number of controversies, but there is always a way out," Alyoshin said.
According to him, the united national aircraft building company will be established in the form of a holding company that will include all leading aircraft manufacturers of Russia in a manner similar with that of Boeing and EADS. "The integration will be spread horizontally in a bid to develop competitive final products, namely commercial and military aircraft," he added.
He noted that the company in question will manufacture and provide follow-on services and marketing support.
"The company will have a structure transparent to all businessmen. A managing company will be in its core to control assets, form reserve and investment funds, and develop favorable conditions for business development," Alyoshin said.
According to him, each of the divisions of the company, no matter whether it is commercial, combat or military transport aircraft building, logistics and so on, will pursue normal activity and sign contracts. "It goes without saying that the managing company will coordinate these efforts," he said.
