MOSCOW. June 14 (Interfax-AVN) - A three-day mobilization training session of commanding officers started in the Abkhaz Armed Forces on Tuesday, Lieutenant General Anatoly Zaitsev, Abkhaz first deputy defense minister and chief-of-staff, told Interfax-Military News Agency.
"Over 120 officers are taking part at the training session which aims to check readiness of commanding personnel," Zaitsev said by phone from Sukhumi.
It is the first time commanders and chiefs of staff of reserve brigades are called for the training session to improve defense capability and establish interaction, he said.
According to Zaitsev, the training session will become an important element of preparations for a large-scale exercise of the Abkhaz Armed Forces, scheduled for August this year.
