Georgian-Abkhaz settlement groups to address refugee count

MOSCOW. June 15 (Interfax-AVN) - The upcoming meetings of working groups for settling the Georgian-Abkhaz conflict acting under the 2003 Sochi accords will deal with the counting of refugees from Abkhazia and railroad services through Abkhazia, Georgian State Minister for Separatist Conflicts Giorgi Khaindrava told Interfax on Tuesday.

Representatives from Georgia, Abkhazia, Russia and the UN will take part in the meetings which will be held in Moscow. The working group on railroad transportation problems will gather on Wednesday and that dealing with refugees on Thursday.

"We will have to adopt a document that has been offered by the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees to count the refugees. Special programs will be drawn up for this process, and we will likely adopt them in Moscow," Khaindrava said.

The participants in the Moscow meeting also plan to discuss the inspection of the railroad between Tbilisi and Sochi and estimate the cost of its restoration, he said.
