Guerilla arsenal seized in Chechnya

GROZNY. June 15 (Interfax-AVN) - A militant has been detained in Achkhoi-Martan in Chechnya and a cache of weapons and ammunition have been confiscated from his home.

The detainee, who was a member of guerilla leader Adam Dadayev's group, was wanted for a role in a series of grave crimes, sources in the Chechen Interior Ministry told Interfax-Military News Agency.

One person was abducted in Chechnya on Tuesday, law enforcement sources said.

"Unidentified individuals dressed in camouflage broke into the house of a local resident in the community of Prigorodnoye on Tuesday. Threatening him with automatic weapons, they abducted the man and took him in an unknown direction," one of the sources said.

A Kalashnikov assault rifle was confiscated from a resident of the Samashki village, the Interior Ministry said.
